As the energy and level of expectation builds, and as the worship team practices, I was able to steal a second with Senior Pastor Ernest Custelow. It was a quick exchange but we were able to chat about being stretched with the youth revival of today. Wearing blue jeans, shorts during February, guys with long hair and lots of black clothes, coming from of all backgrounds and ages this large Worship Center is filled.
With colorful banners and Bibles open, Believers prepared their hearts and minds to receive what the Lord was preparing to deliver. We are at Awaken the Dawn, an amazing annual event held in Fredericksburg, Virginia at Grace Church. This church is the one in which we were planted in Caroline, Virginia. It is a vision of where we will be one day. God has blessed this great body with an amazing facility that hosts this event.
The invocation is given and the entire room falls quite. There is a reverence here… Each soul is quite and preparing for worship.
Then the worship team begins….
It’s high energy, it’s LOUD, it’s amazing and everyone is moved by it. The God of creation is here. He has ordained this time…who am I to judge the modality, the venue or the response of the Saints!?!?
